Sustainability

Bosman Hermanus is situated in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near the seaside town of Hermanus. It is on this land that the cool climate varietals of the Bosman Wines range are planted.

The Bosman family have been vine growers for generations. It is our life’s work and our passion to seek out the best terroir, match it with the ideal varietal, and then nurture those vines so that we can produce the ultimate wine. It is our ‘métier’, our ‘raison d’être’.

For this reason, we purchased land in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near Hermanus in 2000 to complement the warm and sunny terroir of Wellington with cool climate terroir.

With a strong focus on sustainability, both in terms of the community and the environment, we are very proud of our Conservation Champion status awarded by the WWF in 2021.

Our farm is 270 hectares currently 45 ha under vine and 28 ha under protea, the remaining 197 ha are actively conserved and consciously rehabilitated as part of our regenerative farming philosophy.
