Bosman Wines

The Bosman family have been vine growers in Wellington for 8 generations. In search of cool climate terroir, they acquired this little piece of paradise in 2001: vineyards surrounded by fields of indigenous ‘fynbos’ and towering mountains, cooled by the sea crashing below.

Our uniquely south-facing vineyards are cooled by the prevailing sea breeze causing the grapes to ripen slowly and develop an unforgettable elegance and complexity.

Conserving our natural environment is paramount to our drive towards environmental sustainability. Farming regeneratively creates a natural balance, noticeable in our wines and evident by our WWF Champion status.

Today our vine nursery supplies more than one third of the country’s grafted vine cuttings, while our plant laboratory provides invaluable research for the propagation of sustainable grape cultivar selections for the entire industry.

With all our own vines grafted on site, Bosman wines bring with them an unmatched assurance of provenance. Being in control of the grape from cell level to the wine in the glass means consistency, control and credibility.
