Join us on 13 and/or 14 November for a floral workshop that will stretch your mind, teach you clever skills but mostly just inspire your soul and lift your spirits.

Floral artist, Heike Hayward from Stellenbosch-based Fleur le Cordeur (@fleurdesignstudio), will be presenting two exclusive workshops at Bosman Hermanus using the farm’s own fynbos to show you how to make some of her astounding installations including the science and technique behind it all.

Each day will cover two floral themes where new skills will be learned and modern techniques taught to showcase a new side to our natural fynbos and protea kingdom. Learn about sustainable farming at the De Bos farm and how Heike forages for her foliage and other natural gems. Be spoiled with beautiful gifts, fabulous food and fine wines. You will not only leave inspired, but with an abundance in your arms and heart. 


Set out to be inspired. 

Our themes on day 1 will be floral installations and Fleur le Cordeur inspired flatlays. 

After starting the morning with a foraging adventure, Heike will take you on a journey to installing a floral masterpiece. Together we will work towards filling the roof and beams of The Frame House, covering the space as a floral wonderland. 

After a beautiful lunch out on the patio, we’ll venture into one of Heike’s specialities, floral flatlays. Learn how these beautiful creations are constructed and try your hand at this art. You can even bring along a product or item you wish to include in your flatlay and be spoiled with a digitized version of your print, sent to you by the talented photographer Tasha Seccombe, to apply as you wish. No shortage of flowers, talent or inspiration.

Day 2:

Setting the scene on day 1 with a floral installation, we set out to complete the picture by venturing into table-scaping, the art of table design on day 2. 

Together we work on creating a table arrangement under the guidance of Heike and her amazing team. We’ll complete the look with all the bells and whistles and then get to sit down to enjoy a beautiful lunch paired with Bosman Upper Hemel-en-Aarde wines and surrounded by floral magnificence. To end it all on a high note, Heike will teach us how to approach large vase arrangements when working with a combination of fynbos, proteas and other fresh flowers. Our only wish is for you to leave satisfied and inspired.
